Each year 30% to 50% of foster parents make the decision to close their homes to children in foster care due to burnout, stress, and lack of training.

At the same time, the nation experiences a steady 4% increase in children entering into the foster care system each year.

There is a

crisis

and the need is

great.

Our Mission & Vision

We exist to provide support and resources to the foster community in South Louisiana.

Our mission is to encourage and support foster and adoptive families; to empower and support children, youth and families affected by trauma; and to educate the community on the needs of the foster system.

"We had a sibling group of 3 boys that came into care and were going to be separated. We reached out to their grandmother who was willing to take the boys into her home, the only problem was that she did not have beds for the boys. We told her that we could possibility reach out to Foster the Love to see if they could help. When I reached out, they got right on it and were able to provide beds for the boys. The boys were able to stay together because Foster the Love was able to help."
