We are all lead to where we need to be at any point in our life.
Julie has been married for over 30 years. She and her husband have 3 children and 1 grandchild. She has a passion for volunteering in the community and has served on multiple boards. She believes in assisting children and foster families in any way that she can.
With 2 undergraduate degrees from the University of Louisiana Lafayette and a paralegal certificate, Julie has worked for over 20 years in the social service field and for non-profit organizations. This has included serving as a financial and education counselor for a financial institution where she presented practical life skills to youth in the community. She currently serves as Program Director for an AmeriCorps program.
As one of the first CASA volunteers in Lafayette Region, Julie had an inside view of the need for support of children in the foster care system. Serving on the Foster the Love Board of Directors is her small part in helping foster families and foster children.
In her free time; Julie enjoys sewing, crafting and traveling.
