What is one wish you would make if you knew it would come true?
I'd wish for a cure for cancer. I lost my brother three years ago and it was the most difficult time for my family to endure. I pray that one day they do find a cure for this horrible disease.
Gretchen is married to Kevin Cormier, together they have three children and two amazing grandchildren. She is from Crowley, LA and has continued to be a part of this amazing community that supports our culture and commitment to families in need. She has served on Foster the Love’s Board of Directors for 4 years.
Gretchen has been a Department of Family Services employee and supervisor for 13 years. Her dedication to both birth and foster families along with her compassion for the children she serves is what makes her a standout in her field.
She serves on the Board of Directors to continue to enhance the services that Foster the Love provides to foster families and the community to assure that children and families have what they need to continue to provide safe and nurturing homes for children.
When Gretchen isn’t visiting foster families, attending court cases, advocating for foster children, or volunteering. She loves to show off her photography and cooking skills while spending time with her family and her five cats, Gerald, Sweet Pea, Cali, Polly and Hambone, who she considers her second family.
Gretchen invites you to reach out if you are interested in volunteering, would like general details of our program and or would like to inquire about board membership.
