What is one wish you would make if you knew it would come true?
I'd wish that no children would ever come to harm.
From a young age, Stacey was inspired by her parents who consistently worked in various ways to help those struggling in their own community and beyond. The example they set by living lives of service planted a seed in her that would come to fruition many years down the road.
Like many people, Stacey lived a large portion of her life being completely unaware of the incredibly difficult paths that children in foster care have to endure. Once her eyes were opened to this, there was no “unseeing” it. She believes that God did indeed break her heart for what breaks His and prompted her to begin serving the foster care community.
Thanks to Foster the Love LA, she had a place to serve. Without our founder, Heather Duhon’s courageous efforts to start this non-profit, Stacey would likely have struggled to find a place to use her gifts to serve this community. As a professional designer, she has used her design and interactive skills to support FTL’s merchandise and marketing needs for over seven years now.
Stacey is grateful each and every day for her amazing husband of over 25 years and her two wonderful children — her greatest blessings. She enjoys all things art-related, loves being out in nature and is interested in continuing to grow her knowledge surrounding healthy living and fitness.
She truly believes and tries to live by the mantra: Not everyone is called to foster, but EVERYONE can do SOMETHING. Even the smallest contributions can make a difference.
She’d love to talk to you about how your talents could be put to use to benefit children walking this path and those who care for them during their journey.
