How to Become a Foster Family

Provide A Home For
Children in Need

Foster care is an intervention for children and families in crisis, often involving abuse, neglect or incarceration of a parent. It is designed to provide a temporary home to children in need of care. Foster families offer a loving home where healing from trauma can occur while biological parents work toward reunification. Once you become licensed and join the FTL Family, we will be here to support you in your journey as a foster parent.

If you are interested in becoming a foster family, you can learn more about the process here. We invite you to connect with your local parish Department of Children and Family Services or attend a New Foster Parent Orientation.
